The Staff Association rolled out the red carpet in the annual spring luncheon May 24 at the Gallogly Events Center.

With the theme “At the Movies,” offices and departments were encouraged to dress in coordinated costumes from a movie, with the Office of Information Technology winning with the staff dressed as characters from “Star Wars.” Prizes were also given for the best score on movie trivia, along with multiple door prizes from UCCS departments and Colorado Springs businesses.

The Staff Association also presented service awards to 97 employees who had reached five-year milestones at UCCS based on the July 1 fiscal year. Scott Carter, electrical engineer, Information Technology, was the longest-serving staff member honored with a 30-year award.
