Employee of the Quarter Rita Martinez spreads cheer one cup at a time

For many people at UCCS, their day doesn’t start until they get a cup of coffee. More than that, their day doesn’t start until they get a cup of coffee from Rita Martinez. Martinez, a barista and food service worker at Sanitorium Grounds in the University Center, is renowned for a contagious enthusiasm that’s only surpassed by her relentless work ethic. (More)

Chancellor Reddy: Reinstating Executive Directive on Face Coverings

The increase in Delta variant COVID-19 cases is prompting experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to once again recommend masks in crowded indoor settings for all individuals, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Chancellor Venkat Reddy announced that UCCS’ executive directive on face coverings will be reinstated on Monday, August 9. (More)
