Strengthening the culture of ethics at UCCS will be the focus of a half-day event Oct. 5 that aims to encourage discussion among students, faculty and staff and provide information about the ethics and compliance resources available on campus.
The 8 a.m.-noon Ethics First Kickoff in Berger Hall will feature an address by Chancellor Venkat Reddy and a talk by Jim Parke, CEO for Blue Ocean Enterprises and Otter Products of Fort Collins. Parke, an expert on organizational culture, will present his experiences with putting ethics first in an organization.

The kickoff will allow time for students, faculty and staff to discuss ethics and the campus culture in small groups. Participants will also learn about the array of ethics and compliance resources available on campus. Reddy will share the results of a recent ethics survey conducted at UCCS and encourage a campuswide dialogue for continued improvement.
“The Ethics First Kickoff provides a wonderful opportunity for all of us to think about and talk about ways we can strengthen the ethical culture of this campus,” Reddy said. “Let’s challenge ourselves to work together to make UCCS a benchmark of ethical workplaces.”
The event is open to all students, faculty and staff, and breakfast will be provided. Learn more and register here.
