CU Board of Regents Chairman Kyle Hybl led a moment of silence in memory of lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and subsequent military actions during a Friday morning ceremony near the campus 9/11 artifact.
Hybl was joined at the podium by Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak and Ed Anderson, executive director of strategic military, science, space and security initiatives, Office of the Chancellor. Anderson encouraged those in attendance to “never forget” the events of 9/11 before explaining the history of the UCCS student-designed 9/11 artifact display.
