The first campus-based gubernatorial debate between incumbent John Hickenlooper and his challenger former, Rep. Bob Beauprez, drew more than 700 campus and community members to the Gallogly Events Center Oct. 15.
UCCS joined with the Colorado Springs Gazette, Colorado Springs Independent, Colorado Springs Business Journal and KKTV to sponsor the debate. The debate was broadcast live by the media outlets as well as PBS. Questions for the debate were asked by a panel of media members and by audience members.
Election day is Nov. 4.
