Ndahayo signs with UCCS men’s basketball through Team IMPACT

Joshua Ndahayo, an eleven-year old on Team IMPACT, has officially signed on to the UCCS 2022-2023 men’s basketball program. Ndahayo signed his National Letter of Intent and a formal announcement was made on Nov. 3 by head coach Jeff Culver alongside Ndahayo and his family.

From the Go Mountain Lions article, Joshua is a loving, active, and resilient young man who loves watching his favorite athlete Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Joshua’s dream vacation is to one day visit Japan as he also enjoys watching Pokémon and The Avengers.

The Mountain Lions are in their first year partnering with Team IMPACT. Team IMPACT is a two-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disabilities with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved.

Culver noted his excitement for having Ndahayo join the program in the piece as well and Ndahayo answered a few questions during the announcement.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Josh join our Mountain Lion family,” Culver stated. “We believe him to be the missing piece to our program’s championship intentions.”

The Mountain Lions basketball team open their season with a home game at Gallogly Events Center on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. versus Cameron University.
