A self-learning algorithm may help predict how genetic disease occurs

Oluwatosin Oluwadare, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, and his research team have created an algorithm that learns and re-learns as it computationally predicts chromosome structure, resulting in ever-more refined 3D models. They hope it will lead to a better understanding of disease occurrence on a chromosome- and genome-wide scale. (More)
