Employees can gather crucial information about their health – and get early signals that could save the day – at campus biometric screenings. CU Health Plan members can collect crucial health information at a free UCCS screening March 13 in University Center 303.
A screening offers insight into overall health by measuring body composition and lipid and glucose levels. Combined with quality health education, the screening experience can be a powerful tool to make positive lifestyle changes. For those living with a chronic illness, screenings provide a better picture of disease management and ways to improve.
Primary CU Health Plan members and covered spouses who bring along their plan ID card will receive the following tests at no out-of-pocket cost:
- Full Lipid Panels
- Blood Glucose
- Body Composition Measurements
CU Health Plan members will get the most out of biometric screenings by participating each year. With My Health Connection, Anthem members can track year-to-year progress and make goals for personal improvement. As an added bonus, screening participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a ZonLi weighted blanket.
The UCCS screening will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 13. Registration is online through the CU Employee Services website.
