The Campus Awards Ceremony for 2012 will be at 4 p.m. May 2 in Berger Hall.
The annual spring ceremony recognizes faculty, staff, and student contributions and accomplishments during the past year. This year’s celebration will also honor Provost Peg with a Special Chancellor’s Award and congratulate her on her retirement.
Bacon is scheduled to retire July 1 after 34 years of service to UCCS. Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak cited Bacon’s “extraordinary collaboration and outreach, with faculty, staff, and students with whom she is engaged” as the basis for the award.
