Strategic plan discussion opens to campus

A morning-long conference to begin planning the future of UCCS will be open to all faculty and staff members Oct. 20 in Berger Hall.

Beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing in one-hour increments until noon, a presentation and instructions about how faculty and staff can offer their thoughts on the future of the university will take place. Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak has encouraged supervisors to make it possible for all faculty and staff to attend one of the sessions.

The open sessions are part of a planning process that will take place throughout the fall semester and be completed in early spring for presentation to the CU Board of Regents. The plan is intended to look forward through 2020 and will replace the current UCCS strategic plan.

Shockley-Zalabak introduced the strategic planning effort at the first forum of the fall semester and has also appointed a campus-wide steering committee to guide the process.
