CU Regents to meet at UCCS Nov. 8-9

Logo of University of ColoradoThe nine members of the University of Colorado Board of Regents will meet at UCCS Nov. 8-9 in Berger Hall.

The regularly scheduled meeting will include public sessions open for faculty, staff, students and community members to observe. The Regents will meet in executive session at 8 a.m. Nov. 8 before the first public session from 1-2:30 p.m. The public session will continue at 8 a.m. Nov. 9.

Items with impact to UCCS will include:

  • Separate existing Ph.D. program in engineering into three programs in computer science, security and engineering.
  • Sabbatical approval.
  • Regent emeriti designation for two retiring Regents.

The public sessions will include reports from system governance groups, an emerging issue discussion among the Regents, metric reports and affordability presentations. The full board agenda is available through BoardDocs.

The University of Colorado Board of Regents are elected officials charged with the general supervision of the University of Colorado and maintain exclusive control and direction of all funds and appropriations to the university. There are seven Regents elected from each of Colorado’s congressional districts and two elected from the state at-large.
