Parking advisory for 500 series lots on Oct. 4

The 22nd UCCS Economic Forum will take place at the Ent Center for the Arts Oct. 4. Approximately 600 people are expected to attend, and campus community members can expect to see more traffic on west campus.

PARKING IMPACT
Parking in the 500 series lots are expected to be fuller than usual from noon to approximately 5 p.m. Faculty, staff and students who park before noon are not expected to see an impact. Drivers who arrive after noon are encouraged to allow additional time to find parking. Lots 570 (south of Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences) and 580 (near Mountain Lion Park and Mountain Lion Fieldhouse) typically have open spaces throughout the day, and sidewalks connect to the shuttle bus stop near Mountain Lion Field.

Campus drivers are reminded that parking is not available in University Village Colorado. Those lots are for business customers, and cars parked for UCCS activities are subject to ticketing and towing.

Parking on central or east campus areas is not expected to be impacted.

TRANSIT OPTIONS
Students can ride the City of Colorado Springs’ Mountain Metro Transit for free with their student ID. The College Pass Program is available on all city buses and routes, with multiple stops on the UCCS campus on four bus routes.
