The Math Department hosted Colorado Non Linear Days Nov. 11 and 12.
The event drew 50 scientists representing CU Boulder, Colorado School of Mines, University of Northern Colorado, University of Kansas, University of Wyoming, University of Toledo, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and State University of New York, Buffalo.
There were 22 talks as well as several poster presentations, according to Barbara Prinari, professor, Mathematics Department.
“The purpose of this short meeting was to bring together local scientists engaged in nonlinear dynamics, waves, equations and computation research, and give them a chance to interact,” Prinari said. “We are building a sense of community among scientists in the state.”
This is the third conference hosted by the department in recent years. For more information, visit the department website or contact Prinari, 255-3522, [email protected]
