Chancellor named Business Citizen of the Year

The Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance named Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak its Business Citizen of the Year Nov. 12.

The Regional Business Alliance is an advocate for business and industry in the Pikes Peak region and is an accredited member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Shockley-Zalabak was selected from six others nominated for the award. Her leadership of the campus and its steady growth were cited as key factors for the recognition as was the university’s role as an economic development engine.
