Yuriy Garbovskiy, lab manager, Biofrontiers Center, was recently named a senior member of the Optical Society of America.
Garbovskiy was among 163 individuals recognized for their experience and professional accomplishments within the field of optics and photonics. To qualify for senior membership, individuals must have at least 10 years of significant professional experience, an active OSA membership and two endorsements from current members. Requests are reviewed by council and recommendations made to the board of directors for approval.
