Faculty governance elects officers, representatives

The UCCS Faculty Assembly recently elected new officers and college representatives.

Barbara Prinari, associate professor, Mathematics Department, and president-elect announced election results April 4 and thanked all who participated.

New Faculty Assembly officers are:

  • Maja Krakowiak, associate professor, Communication Department, Faculty Assembly President Elect (2016-2017)
  • Norah Mazel, instructor, Kraemer Family Library, Faculty Assembly Secretary (2016-2017)
  • Monica Yoo, assistant professor, College of Education, Faculty Council Representative (2016-2019)

College representatives are:

  • Jay Dawes, assistant professor, Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
  • Kerry Peterson, assistant professor, Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
  • Jill Bradley-Gist, assistant professor, College of Business
  • Matt Metzger, assistant professor, College of Business
  • Lori Notestine, instructor, College of Education
  • Joe Wehrman, associate professor, College of Education
  • Pam Carter, senior instructor, College of Engineering and Applied Science

All UCCS faculty members are part of the Faculty Assembly. Faculty Assembly usually meets once or twice annually. A representative group meets monthly during the academic year. The representative group has elected officers of the Faculty Assembly, elected Faculty Council representatives and elected representatives from each college and the Kraemer Family Library. All members of the faculty are also part of the Faculty Senate which is a CU System-wide group.
