Soccer luminaries headline ethics discussion

A World Cup champion coach, the CEO of an English Premier League club, and a FOX Sports analyst are among the soccer dignitaries who will discuss ethics in professional soccer during an Oct. 8 panel discussion and luncheon at UCCS.

The event is presented by the UCCS College of Business Sport Management Program and co-sponsored by the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at UCCS.

Soccer luminaries

Panelists include Jill Ellis, head coach, U.S. Women’s World Cup championship team, Robert Elstone, CEO, Everton FC, Eric Wynalda, Fox Sports soccer analyst, and Padraig Smith, Colorado Rapids sporting director, formerly with Union of European Football Association’s Financial Fair Play. They will discuss ethical issues associated with the management and playing of soccer at the league level, club executive level, and coaching or playing level.

The event begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Upper Lodge on the UCCS campus with a workshop providing students with close access to the panelists and opportunities for questions and discussion.
