"Private Lives" is the story of Amanda and Elyot, a charming newly wedded couple, who find themselves together in the south of France, alone on a hotel balcony with an orchestra playing and moonlight on the water. It’s heavenly. It’s magic. They’re in love. The only difficulty is they are on separate honeymoons. They were divorced five years ago and each has just remarried someone else. So begins Noël Coward’s fabulous romantic farce, "Private Lives."
The play remains the most popular and effervescent of Coward’s comedies. "Private Lives" is a classic of style and a masterpiece of fun. It is both the lightest of light comedies and an incisive study of the pleasures and problems that come with long term relationships.
Several special events are planned including
