The Army ROTC program at UCCS recently expanded its scholarship program for students who chose science, technology, engineering or math fields.

Lt. Col. Mark Thompson, professor and chair, Department of Military Science, and Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak signed an agreement April 13 that provides $25,000 annually in additional student financial aid for ROTC students attending UCCS who select a STEM major. Students are eligible for awards ranging from $500 to $5,000.

“We hope this scholarship will attract students to study cyber security and to participate in the new program between UCCS and the Army Reserve,” Thompson said.

The new scholarships will be available for the fall semester.
