Taylor named associate director

Rhea Taylor, business manager, Department of Facilities Services, was recently  named associate director of budget operations, Office of Budget and Planning.

Suzanne Scott, director, Office of Budget and Planning, announced Taylor’s appointment to the newly created position. As associate director, Taylor will be responsible for daily operation of the Office of the Budget and Planning. Her new position was effective April 1.

Taylor joined UCCS in 2000 as an administrative assistant in the University Center. She later held positions in the College of Engineering and as a contracts and grants professional in the Division of Resource Management. Since 2007, she has worked as the budget manager for the Department of Facilities Services. Prior to joining UCCS, Taylor held office manager positions within the Colorado Department of Corrections.

Taylor is past president of the Professional Exempt Staff Association and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University Pueblo) and a master’s degree in public administration from UCCS.
