An information session to explain health, dental, vision and life insurance benefit options available to UCCS faculty, staff members and retirees is scheduled for May 7 in the University Center Theater, Room 302.
CU Employee Services will host sessions for current faculty and staff with half-time or greater appointments at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. A session for university retirees and surviving spouses is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Representatives from Employee Services, as well as vendors such as Kaiser-Permanente, Anthem Blue Cross and Delta Dental, will be in attendance to answer questions and details about plan changes and specific benefits.
The information session is part of the annual open enrollment process for employees to select benefits that best suit their needs, according to Jeanne Durr, executive director, Office of Human Resources. Open enrollment begins April 27 and continues through May 11. This is a two-week window where all employees must select new benefits or re-enroll in some existing programs. New CU benefit plans are effective July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.
Plan costs have not been announced but are expected by the start of open enrollment, Durr said.
