  • The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience welcomes you to the GRIT: Resiliency in Action Conference 2024. This empowering one-day event is tailored for both experienced GRIT Coaches and those new to the GRIT Program. The Value of Representation in Public Health, Education, and Policy

  • One of the acute concerns in the U.S. today is the impact of inadequately embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in policy, education, and the public health system. At this event, the invited panelists will discuss the importance of valuing different voices to support DEI and share their experiences, perspectives, and strategies to promote DEI in their profession.

  • March’s theme, in alignment with Women’s History Month, is “Sisterhood: Barbie, Joy Ride, and The Color Purple”. Join us for a discussion on what sisterhood looks like across our diverse communities, learning to love all aspects of our “sisters,” and ways to strengthen the bonds between women on campus. We encourage everyone to bring an item to contribute to the circle. Items typically are things significant within your life such as a photo, a book, a gifted item, etc. The item will be returned back to the participant.

  • Come and join MOSAIC in an art and “savoring” workshop! We will do a mindfulness art session where everyone can paint or craft to their liking. The second half with be the “savoring” workshop with different practices to help us enjoy our positive emotions through a tea, fruit, and chocolate tasting and by admiring our artistic creations through all five senses.

  • In 1981 at the New London Theatre, a musical based on a little poem by T.S. Eliot, changed the theatre world. Cats played there for twenty-one years and became the definition of a mega-musical. EPIC: The Petrasek Duo

  • Jessica Petrasek is known for her virtuosic and passionate flute playing. She performs as part of the EPIC Wind Quintet. In this performance, she is joined by her husband Joe, who is the principal percussionist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.   • It’s Musical March and the Ent Center plays host to two legendary Broadway shows. There is perhaps no one better to talk about adaptations and the contemporary American musical than acting and producing star LaChanze.
