The UCCS entrance at Stanton Road and Austin Bluffs Parkway will be closed from 8:30 a.m. April 17 through 5 p.m. April 19 so construction crews can complete emergency water line repairs, according to Lawrence Construction, the contractor for the Austin Bluffs widening project.
Access to the campus from the Stanton Road entrance will be prohibited and westbound and eastbound Austin Bluffs will be reduced to one lane.
Repairs are expected to take 2-3 days to complete with all lanes and intersections reopening at 5 p.m. April 19, weather permitting.
Delays are expected and motorists are strongly advised to use alternate routes. Posted signage, traffic cones and flaggers will be present to help motorists safely navigate the area. Access to businesses and homes will be maintained at all times.
