Just a short walk or ride from campus, the Ent Center for the Arts is a great place to catch up on classwork. With both indoor and outdoor options, the building offers quiet, beautiful spaces – and plenty of art to inspire you during study breaks.
Check out these seven places to study at the Ent Center!
For a casual day
The south lawn is a great place to catch some sun while you study. Just grab a blanket, your books and spread out on the grass! You’ll also get to take in views of Pikes Peak and the sculpture garden.
If you need shade
Want some fresh air, but also need to see your screen? These tables, located directly to the left of the front entrance, offer a shady spot that still lets you take advantage of all those sunny Colorado days.
If you want a view
Rooftop vibes, anyone? This space on the second floor of the Ent Center has plenty of tables and chairs for study groups of any size – and the added bonus of panoramic views of the city and mountains.
If you’re looking for comfort
The second floor has a collection of comfy armchairs and couches in the space next to the Dusty Loo Bon Vivant theater. This area is perfect if you’re going to be doing a lot of reading and need a place to lounge!
If you need to focus
Looking for a super-secluded study space? This small area, located on the second floor by the east entrance of the Shockley Zalabak Theater, is an out-of-the-way spot to get some work done away from the distractions of a larger space.
For a group project
This loft area, located on the second floor next to the music rehearsal rooms, is a great place to meet up for a group project. The clustered armchairs offer enough places for everyone to sit, and the space is tucked away and quiet.
If you need inspiration
The west side of the first floor of the Ent Center is lined with high tables and chairs, offering an ideal space to study. Enjoy bright, natural light, the view through the windows, and (on Mondays and Wednesdays) snacks and coffee from Pinney’s Café.
The best part? You’ll be sitting under a canopy of colorful art.
If you need help locating one of these spaces, just stop at the box office on your way in and the staff will be happy to help.
