From: Ann Amicucci, Sean Dean, Jenny Dorrington, Phillip Haisley, Sandy Ho
Angie Kinnett, Miles Adler, and their student team have gone above and beyond in organizing and recording a series of video interviews for an online course we are creating. The Media Services team is not only deeply skilled at all that they do, but they are always professional and patient in helping walk us through the process when we are in the studio. We are so grateful to you for your expertise and for all your help!
Individuals
To: Allen Westcott
From: Dr. Colleen Stiles, Faculty, Bachelor of Innovation
Allen is a graduate assistant in the computer science department. Allen works with students, staff, and faculty on administrative functions – and it isn’t easy. Thanks to Allen our students are receiving timely responses to inquiries, faculty have opportunities to learn how to do things better (that’s me!) and Shari and Ali (staff members in the department) get the much-needed assistance. Allen the Bachelor of Innovation appreciates you!
To: Andre in Facilities
From: Anon.
Andre is such a bright light in my day every time I see him! His positive attitude and incredible energy never fail to make me smile. Thanks for everything you do!
To: Angela Dodson
From: Ann Amicucci
Angie has hit the ground running in her new role as Faculty Development Coordinator in the Faculty Resource Center. I have learned so much from her as a faculty member through training to learn how to teach online and through her leadership at the FRC. She oversaw a wonderfully successful New Faculty Teaching Retreat this August where new faculty (and some of us not so new!) got to benefit from her expertise. I am grateful to Angie for all the ways she educates others and for her deep focus on student success!
To: Anna Squires
From: Anon.
Anna does so much beyond what others may know or see. Anna is a team player through and through she embodies our UCCS ethical values of respect, trust, integrity, and accountability. Anna deserves so many kudos and I am lucky to get to work with her.
To: Cara Elliott & Brian Mann
From: Will Brown
Since I started at UCCS in February, Cara and Brian have gone above and beyond to support my success on the Humanities & Education Advising team. They’ve spent extra time training me in the university’s curriculum and procedures; introduced me to our many campus partners; and patiently (sometimes repeatedly!) answered my annoying questions. Along the way, they’ve generously shared some of their special talents: Cara’s genius for organization and creative solutions, and Brian’s masterful grasp of policy, to name just a couple. They also carried me through an especially tough time. When family sick leave suddenly took me away from work for the better part of two weeks–during the busiest part of Spring term–they stepped up to cover for me, ensuring that our students experienced no hardship as a result of my absence. They’ve made me confident and (for the most part) competent in my job, and their example pushes me to meet their high standard. I’m grateful to be on their team!
To: Chris Valentine, Kayla Gronseth Boyer, and Eric Nissen
From: Debi O’Connor
I would like to give Clyde’s Kudos to Chris Valentine, Kayla Gronseth Boyer, and Eric Nissen for all their assistance with the upcoming EthicsFirst event. This trio has graciously helped with developing the marketing material, setting up the Cvent, working with others across campus to ensure that it appears on tabletops, in the commode chronicles, and bus signs. Each one of these individuals is a joy to work with and I wanted to express my appreciation for your help and expertise.
To: Jacob Guilez
From: Lizzy B.
Jacob is awesome to work with on social media needs. I always appreciate our collabs and his willingness to help with ideas for content and reels, thank you Jacob!!
To: Jenna Press
From: Anna Squires
Jenna was so patient, flexible, detail-oriented and thorough throughout the communications process for the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management search. There is a huge amount of invisible work that goes into communications, and it was incredible to see her fanangle a tricky process. Kudos, Jenna!!
To: Jennifer Biga
From: Cindy Brown
Jennifer is an amazing Student Employment Advisor. Any and every question I have she responds to in a timely manner and with thorough response. She shows great respect for everyone she comes in contact with and is always so calm. I appreciate Jennifer and the great composure she exhibits every day. Thank you Jennifer, I see you!
To: Kayla Gronseth Boyer
From: Mary Ann Tillman
Kayla supports all newbies across campus who require use of Cvent and other campus promotional platforms. From Day 1, she is responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and all with an attitude that is the most upbeat, welcoming, cheerful, and all-around infectious. As a result, I get quick answers to my questions, and am able to get our events posted in a timely fashion with quality web pages.
To: Lauren Harriott
From: Ann Amicucci
Lauren went above and beyond in advising one of our English majors who is interested in pursuing graduate education in another country. I imagine Lauren has a lot on her plate in advising students pursuing graduate work at UCCS, so I am incredibly grateful that she took the time to help a student who is considering graduate work elsewhere. She shared extensive suggestions and guidance and left the student enthusiastic to research more. Thank you, Lauren, for your outstanding student support!
To: Liz Fagerness
From: Debi O’Connor
I would like to give Clyde’s Kudos to Liz Fagerness for the time and effort she has put forth in the development of the UCCS Alumni and Friends database as well as the associated handbook. Liz worked tirelessly to ensure that all the information in the database was accurate inclusive. She worked with departments across the campus and the system to ensure that she was protecting the volunteers, the programs and those participating in the activities. This was a very long and heavy lift – KUDOS to Liz!
To: Maria O’Connell
From: Anon.
Maria transitioned from a staff position to a NTT faculty position on August 15. In the weeks leading up to her move she went above and beyond to ensure the social work programs, the students, and the staff member who took her position were set up for success. Her attention to detail, multiple detailed training materials, and conscientiousness ensured a smooth transition. She made sure every student was taken care of and even worked the weekend before the transition to send detailed guidance and support for students who needed extra support. Her work is a credit to UCCS!
To: Maya Rodgers
From: Erin Klein
Maya is such an asset to Event Services. She has assisted the LAS Dean’s Office in planning numerous events, often with pretty short notice. She is reliable, efficient, and kind. Thank you, Maya, for being excellent in your work! I’m sure we are not the only ones on campus that have been blessed by you.
To: Mikayla Greenfield
From: Ann Amicucci
Mikayla has gone far above and beyond in handling questions and requests from my department at the start of the semester! I am grateful to her for always being willing to help and to share her expertise. When I was unable to access the online work request system for Facilities, she helped me by receiving work requests via email so we could get items in order for offices for new faculty. Thank you for all that you do!
To: Molly Cammell
From: Anon.
Molly was an amazing co-chair for the welcome committee and she just ended her three years of service earlier this summer, wanted to send her a shout out and thank her for all her hard work over the years! Thank you Molly!
To: Roxanne Rosenthal
From: Ann Amicucci
Roxy goes above and beyond in her administrative assistant role in the Faculty Resource Center. This August, she organized a New Faculty Teaching Retreat that went off without a hitch and required oversight of countless moving parts, including organizing attendees and a long roster of presenters. I am grateful to Roxy for her professionalism and her friendliness and always appreciate the opportunity to work with her!
To: Samantha Adams
From: Wendi Clouse
Sam has been extraordinarily helpful with sharing information about technical processes in the Registrar’s office. I know she has a full schedule, but she never hesitates to answer a question or provide helpful documentation. She is a credit to both her unit and the campus as a whole.
To: Shannon Rogers
From: Liz and the welcome committee crew
Shannon was a great help to us at the welcome committee meet up the other day. She made some last minute magic happen to get our event set up and supply our coffee needs. Thank you Shannon for being so warm and helpful!!
To: Toby in Facilities
From: Anna Squires
Thank you, Toby, for a lightning-fast key remedy! You were super quick and helpful to get our new employee a new key to Main Hall.
