Jessica Belsterling was also named to the 2014 RMAC Preseason All-Conference Team. Entering her senior season, Belsterling will be the only four-year starter for UCCS. She finished last season fifth in the RMAC for RBIs (41) and homeruns (12).

The longest-tenured head coach in UCCS softball program history, Scott Peterson, enters his fourteenth season. He returns eight student-athletes from last season’s roster.

The Mountain Lions open the 2014 season with a regional, non-conference, double-header against Colorado Mines on Feb. 1, at Mountain Lions Stadium.
