OIT announces Adobe Flash Player removal

The UCCS Office of Information Technology has announced that Adobe Flash Player will be removed from all Windows systems connected to the UCCS campus network on July 13 (Windows desktops) and August 10 (Windows servers). Please be aware that once removal is complete, some third-party software may no longer function properly. For those who maintain their own servers or systems, please work to actively remove or replace any Flash-related application requirements before these dates.

For questions, special considerations or assistance removing Flash, please contact the Help Desk.

Adobe and Microsoft stopped supporting Flash Player effective Jan. 1, 2021 and blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021. Adobe’s recommendation is for all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.

Some users may continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system. See Adobe’s site for more details on how to uninstall Flash Player.
