UCCS to celebrate Cuban diasporic artists

“Cuba Transnational,” a project conceived and coordinated by Andrea Herrera, professor, Department of Women’s and Ethnic Studies, will highlight creativity in the Cuban diaspora.

The first series of events are five art exhibitions including a photography installation at Kraemer Family Library and four public multimedia art exhibits opening May 28 at Pueblo’s Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. (More)

Science & Engineering now Osborne Center

The largest building at UCCS was renamed Thursday morning in honor of its largest donors, Ed and Mary Osborne of Colorado Springs.

During a 10:30 a.m. outdoor ceremony, the Science & Engineering Building was renamed the Osborne Center for Science and Engineering. The ceremony featured comments by CU President Bruce Benson, UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak and both Osbornes. (More)
