Deborah Kenny

Deborah Kenny, associate professor, Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, was recently selected as an ambassador by the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research.

Kenny was one of 15 people selected nationally this year for the role that focuses on educating Congressional leaders about high-impact and cost-effective medical treatments and quality-of-life enhancements that emanate from nursing science.

Ambassadors were selected from a national pool of applicants based on their abilities to advance public, health professions, and policy-maker awareness of the critical research agenda linked to the National Institute for Nursing Research.

The Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research is an independent nonprofit group that advocates for nursing science and promotes wellbeing for all Americans.
