In Memory: Jackie Konselman

Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave., for retired Kraemer Family Library staff member Jacquline “Jackie” Konselman.

Konselman, 75, of Manitou Springs died Jan. 22 after a long illness. She was a library technician in the Kraemer Family Library from 1976 until her retirement in 2006. In 1999, she received the UCCS Outstanding Staff Award in recognition of her dedication to students and close work with student employees.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to PEO Chapter K Educational Projects, 2419 Elite Terrace, Colorado Springs, 80920-3855.

Jacquline Jean Bryan Konselman

Konselman, JacqulineJacquline Jean Bryan Konselman, a longtime resident of Manitou Springs, passed away on January 22, 2013. She grew up in Hydro, OK and Los Angeles, CA and attended Rosemead High School. She also attended Pikes Peak Community College. Jackie began her career as a librarian at Pikes Peak Community College and later retired from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She was married to John Konselman (deceased) on May 20, 1977. While active in her career, Jackie was a member of UCCS campus organizations, Colorado state library organizations, PEO Chapter K, and Kerygma church group. She enjoyed her numerous grandchildren, traveling, reading, gardening, and painting. Jackie was born on January 15, 1938 to Jack and Joyce Bryan in Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her loving children Bill Holstein of Grand Junction, Tami (Holstein) Wickersham of Oxford, Wisconsin, Dianne (Konselman) Aamodt of Lakota, North Dakota, John Konselman of Billerica, Massachusetts, Susan (Konselman) Chambers of Manitou Springs. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Chelse, Kyle, Naomi, Leah, Jeremiah, Lydia, Elli, Jason, Justin, Roxanna, Prescott. Additionally she has 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 26. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chapter K, PEO for Educational Projects Treasurer, 2419 Elite Terrace, Colorado Springs, 80920-3855.
