Sabrina Wienholtz, student activities specialist, Office of Student Life and Leadership, was recently hired as assistant director following a national search.
As assistant director, Wienholtz will work closely with student clubs and organizations and will advise the UCCS Student Government Association. Her appointment was announced by Brad Bayer, executive director, Office of Student Life and Leadership.
A member of the UCCS staff since 2007, Wienholtz served as program assistant in the Office of Student Life and Leadership for four years. In 2011, she was named a student activities specialist. In that capacity, she worked as business adviser to the Scribe student newspaper, redesigned student club orientation and travel procedures, and worked closely with student clubs to ensure funds were used properly.
Since 2010, she has taught ID111 and currently teaches the course “Driven” in the Freshman Seminar program.
Prior to joining UCCS, Wienholtz worked for Pikes Peak Community College and the University of Wisconsin Student Union.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a master’s degree from UCCS.
