Annette Joyce Visty, 50, a 1989 UCCS graduate and director of the Office of University Relations from 1996 to 1998, died in August, according to obituary information published by family members.

Annette Joyce (Heller) Visty was born in March 1962 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and went to be with her Savior in August 2012. Although shy as a child, she grew into an independent and capable journalist. She will always be loved for her courage, faith, and encouragement in spite of adversity. She is survived by her parents Margaret (Joe Diaz) and Karl (Sophia), and her five siblings: Clive (Gwen), Rosalind (Bob Fassett), Jennifer (Kelly Stohler), Ian (Penny), Yvonne (Travis Thiede), 11 nieces and nephews, and her two adult children Stefan, and Hannah (Taylor Donner) whom she loved more than life itself. Memorial donations are being directed to Millgrove Children’s Home (http://www.millgrove.org.uk/), London where Annette’s mother was lovingly raised.
