Campus employees should plan for payroll adjustment

UCCS June paychecks won’t be processed until July 2 this year, so employees should be aware and make accommodations.

University of Colorado monthly pay dates normally fall on the last working day of each month. The June 2012 pay date will be shifted to Monday, July 2, following a State of Colorado directive to all state agencies. This includes CU.

The pay date adjustment came into practice several years ago and resulted in savings for the State of Colorado annual budget, said Cindy Corwin, director, Office of Human Resources.

Employees should review their financial obligations with regard to this change. Automatic bill payments and other automated banking services may be affected by the rescheduling of direct deposit funds. The university is not responsible for any overdraft charges or fees incurred as a result of the change.

The university’s PBS Bulletin for June includes a flyer that may be copied and posted or distributed as a reminder to employees. Department heads are urged to share the message to all faculty and staff.
