CU advocates at capitol

UCCS leaders and community supporters attended University of Colorado Advocacy Day Friday at the Colorado Capitol to encourage state support for higher education.

A dozen UCCS supporters joined with an estimated 175 representatives from other CU campuses to hear presentations from elected officials and university leaders about the state’s economic outlook, funding scenarios for higher education, and the legislative process. The event began at 8 a.m. and is expected to continue until noon.

Advocacy Day spotlights the university’s priorities and energizes the CU community to get more involved in sharing CU’s value and contributions to the state and beyond.
