UCCS faculty, staff and students participated in a Remembrance Day National Roll Call Friday in celebration of Veterans Day.
At more than 100 colleges and universities across the nation, the names of more than 6,200 military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan wars were read. The reading began at 7 a.m. and was expected to last eight hours.
The event was organized by the Office of Veteran and Military Student Affairs which also held an open house Friday to showcase campus services offered to veterans and their families.
