It’s time for the UCCS community to bundle up and show campus pride in the 34th annual Festival of Lights Parade. This year’s parade starts at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 1 in downtown Colorado Springs.

Faculty, staff, students and family members are encouraged to wear their UCCS gear and march past more than 60,000 spectators. Last year, more than 50 campus individuals joined the float through downtown.

“This parade has become a long-standing tradition at UCCS and allows us a wonderful opportunity to show the excitement of campus with our Colorado Springs friends and neighbors,” said Stephen Cucchiara, director of student activities and community service.

Marchers are asked to RSVP with Kennedy Watson, special events coordinator in Student Life, and meet at the staging location on the northwest corner of N. Tejon St. and Cache la Poudre St. by 5:30 p.m.
