Four online graduate programs at UCCS are the best in Colorado and among the best in the nation, according to the editors of U.S. News and World Report magazine.
In the magazine’s 2016 Best Online Graduate Education Rankings to be released Jan. 12, UCCS programs in business, education, engineering and nursing are ranked among the nation’s best based on criteria such as student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services, peer reputation and admission selectivity. U.S. News and World Report leads in the collection of data and its use to rank colleges and universities as a consumer guide.
“Rankings are an important tool when students are faced with a myriad of choices when selecting a graduate program,” Venkat Reddy, associate vice chancellor for online education, said. “The University of Colorado Colorado Springs continues to offer online programs that are high-quality, affordable and taught by the same faculty who teach our on-campus classes.”
Specific UCCS programs ranked by U.S. News are:
Business. Among the 221 public and private university online graduate MBA programs from across the nation ranked by U.S. News, the UCCS program was 41, the highest of any program offered by a university in Colorado.
Education. Of the 252 public and private university online graduate education programs from across the nation ranked by U.S. News, the UCCS program ranked 48. Only the program at CU Denver (36) ranked higher among programs in Colorado.
Engineering. Of the 81 public and private university online graduate engineering programs from across the nation ranked by U.S. News, the UCCS program was 29, the highest of any program offered by a university in Colorado.
Nursing. Of the 147 public and private university online graduate nursing programs from across the nation ranked by U.S. News, the UCCS program was 13, the highest of any program offered by a university in Colorado.
