More than 25 UCCS students, faculty and staff members gathered outside the Alpine Garage to watch a final piece of structural steel be lifted into place at a Village at Alpine Valley  at a “topping off” ceremony Nov. 14 near the intersection of Stanton Rd. and Mountain Lion Way.

Prior to being lifted into place, UCCS community members had a chance to write their names and inspirational quotes across the beam before it was put in place.
