The UCCS Farmstand is now open, in an eggscellent collaboration between Clyde’s Cupboard and the UCCS Farm.
An extension of Clyde’s Cupboard, the Farmstand is located at the farmhouse entrance and is available 24/7 for students to grab fresh produce and eggs, grown right here on campus, at no cost.
“The partnership between Clyde’s Cupboard and the UCCS Farm offers a unique value by providing fresh, locally grown produce directly to students in need,” said Polly Knutson, Director of Sustainability Programing and UCCS Farm. “This collaboration supports food security on campus, promotes student health, and fosters a stronger, more sustainable community at UCCS.”
This initiative is part of continuous efforts to reduce food insecurity for students and ensure there are nutritious options readily available for them. Like Clyde’s Cupboard, the Farmstand is donation-based and is not need-based, making it open to any enrolled UCCS student.
