Japanese professors and instructors from public schools and universities across Colorado and Wyoming participated in the Fall Assembly and Workshop hosted by the Colorado Japanese Language Education Association (CJLEA) on Sept. 21 at the Excel Languages Center.

Teaching Professor of Japanese Mioko Webster collaborated with the director of the languages center, Jesse Perez, to hold the event at UCCS. The assembly featured a retirement celebration for Joan Erickson (Colorado College). Following was a discussion on how to enhance teaching Japanese beyond the textbooks.

The CJLEA appreciates Perez for allowing the group to use the space and the technical support on Zoom, as well as UCCS student assistants Gunnar Anderson (Japanese Tutor at the Excel Language Center) and Brock Stamper (IT worker) for this event.
