Last season, the UCCS Mountain Lions won their first ever Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Regular Season Championship after capping off an 18-4 conference season and winning 23 games, marking the third most wins in program history.
Head coach Misty Wilson and the Mountain Lions were ranked in all three regular season NCAA South Central regional rankings and set a new school record for most consecutive wins with 12. The Mountain Lions also racked up individual awards during the post-season, including six student-athletes being named to the RMAC All-Academic Team and Rylie Ottman earning an RMAC Honorable Mention recognition. Maison White and Amyah Moore Allen were named to the All-RMAC First Team and RMAC All-Tournament Team, and Maison added Academic All-District accolades to her honors.
At the Homecoming soccer game, each member from last year’s team who was able to attend the event was given their RMAC Championship ring.
