Celebrate Bisexual Day

  • Join us as we celebrate Bisexual Pride Day or Bisexual Awareness Day. We’ll have some information for those not familiar on bisexuality or would like more information as they explore this identity. So whether you are part of the bisexual community and wanting to connect with others, an ally that wants to know more and on how best to support, or someone that is curious on the topic, we’ll have space for everyone. We’ll have a quick presentation, dialogue, snacks, and games, plus neat bisexual stickers!

Boba Break with the College of Education

  • Join us outside of University Hall for free boba, while supplies last! We’ll have hammocks to lounge in, blankets to sit on in the grass, and music! There will be one milk tea and one fruit tea available.

Learn to Climb – Session 1
Each Tuesday in Sept. from 6 – 7:30 p.m. | SOLE Center

  • In this four part series, participants will learn the art and skill of rock climbing. Each class session will have a different focus, including intro to belaying and climbing, movement and technique, lead climbing and lead belaying, and knots and anchors.   • Old Colorado City Trash Fairies, Westside CARES and UCCS Office of Sustainability are teaming up again for the 2024 Creek Week Cleanup! We will be meeting in the larger parking lot at Vermijo Park and we will have some snacks and coffee to kick things off in the morning along with supplies like gloves, bags, pickers and buckets to outfit you all for the festivities.

Cool Science Carnival Day

  • We’ll have dozens of exciting science magic shows, laboratory tours and demos, rockets, drone soccer, live animals robots, liquid nitrogen ice cream, Insectapalooza, and lots of other hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) activities and exhibits for kids (primarily K-8th grades).  It’s all FREE (even the parking) and fun for all ages!
