UCCS New Student Housing Move In

As we prepare for the start of another academic year, we are gearing up to welcome students to campus. With that, we are recruiting clubs and organizations to volunteer to help support our move in process. We are excited to introduce a new opportunity in addition to helping students move their belongings into the residence halls. Learn more about the move in and how to register here!

Clyde’s Kickoff 2024: Commuter Social and Check-In!

Are you new to UCCS but won’t be living on campus? Join us at the Commuter Social for free food, to learn about some resources around campus for commuters, as well as meet some of your fellow students!

Graduate School Fall Welcome Reception
Monday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. | Berger Hall

Newly admitted Graduate students at UCCS are invited to attend a Welcome Reception for a great opportunity to meet other students and faculty from their program as well as from other disciplines. Representatives from campus agencies will be present to provide information on resources and to answer questions and dinner will be served!

Clyde’s Kickoff 2024: Stuff-a-Stuff!

Get ready for a day of fluffy fun and outdoor relaxation at Stuff-a-Stuff! Join us for an event where you can pick out your very own animal, stuff it, and give it a cute name, followed by a laid-back afternoon of yard games and hanging out with friends.

Equipment and Infrastructure Grants
Thursday, Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Virtual Event

Lewis-Burke Associates, in partnership with the CU System’s Office of Government Relations, will host a webinar on federal agency opportunities related to equipment and infrastructure grants to provide an overview of federal mechanisms across the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and other agencies that offer equipment and infrastructure grants. The webinar will also provide best tips for engaging with agency officials and/or preparing proposals in scope with federal priorities to maximize success.

Hitch is back for his eleventh year in a row! The date doctor David Coleman, the inspiration for the movie Hitch, is hosting an event for UCCS.

Clyde’s Kickoff 2024: University Center Premiere Night!
Friday, Aug. 23 from 7:30 – 9 p.m. | University Center

What better way to start your first weekend of college than to attend a showcase event of your University Center? Departments and offices have come together from around the University Center to provide you with a night of excitement, fun and games! Each department will sponsor an ongoing activity. Throughout the course of the evening, there will be showcase activities. As you attend ongoing and showcase activities, you will receive stamps at each activity, once you complete all the activities, turn in your road trip passport to entry a prize drawing, as well as free giveaways.

Clyde’s Kickoff 2024: Crave Rave Bingo!
Friday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. | Berger Hall

Grab your lucky charm, it’s Bingo time. Join your peers for a night full of Bingo with the opportunity to win some great prizes! There will be five rounds with the first one starting at 9:30pm and goes until all prizes are won.

Clyde’s Kickoff 2024: Manitou Springs Excursion
Saturday, Aug. 24 from 12 – 2:30 p.m. | Roaring Fork Shuttle Stop

Student Life will be taking a group of students to Manitou Springs! Students will meet AT THE ROARING FORK DINING HALL SHUTTLE STOP and from then take a bus to Manitou! Students are required to RSVP for this event. There are two departure times from campus: 12pm and 2pm. Although this event is open to all students, there are limited spots, so RSVP now! There are 30 spots per time frame. The last bus will leave Manitou at 4:40pm.

Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9:45 – 11:45 p.m. | Summit Village Turf

Join us for a FREE showing of A Quiet Place: Day One! BIG stars, BIG action and BIG fun all on the BIG screen! Pop on over to the Summit Village Turf for popcorn, candy and drinks for UCCS’ annual Movie Madness!
