Enrollment Management and Student Affairs division rolls out Enrollment Management reorganization

The division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) is being reorganized to focus more intentionally on the entire range of enrollment, both recruitment and retention.

Effective August 15, the EMSA division will be structured in a way that better aligns functions and departments, allowing a UCCS student’s journey to be more efficient, successful and memorable.

“Our goal is to attract, engage, retain, and support each student while guiding them as they pursue their ultimate goal of achieving a degree at UCCS,” said Stephanie Hanenberg, Interim Vice Chancellor. “We believe this reorganization will create room for better collaboration within the division and broader campus.”

The reorganization of EMSA includes the following:

  • The positions of Director of UCCS Online, Senior Transfer Navigator, and the Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management have been eliminated.
  • The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Financial Aid and Student Employment role has been adjusted. Moving forward, the division will have an Assistant Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management. Stephanie Hanenberg, Interim Vice Chancellor for EMSA, has asked Jevita Rogers to serve in this role as an interim.
  • Interim AVC Rogers will continue to oversee Financial Aid and Student Employment, and her new operational group will include Pre-Collegiate, Admissions, Registrar and a Senior Director who will supervise Advising, Orientation, and Career Services.
  • Wendi Clouse will serve as Chief of Staff and Chief Enrollment Strategist. She will supervise Student Outreach Communications, Salesforce support, and part of the UCCS Online team.

This reorganization is the final step in a re-visioning process that has been taking place since February of this year, after former Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Carlos García announced his retirement.

Throughout the process, feedback was sought from each division and the campus as a whole. Recommendations were then brought to the chancellor.

The Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Enrollment Management merged into a single division known as Enrollment Management and Student Affairs in June as a result of the re-visioning process.
