From: Rosey

Asjia has gone above and beyond her role to help assist me the past two admission terms. She was able to coordinate communication with new admits and help provide conversions from admit to enrolled for our graduate programs. I appreciate her help when we were experiencing staff shortage and an increase in applications.

Craig is always so helpful and patient with everything web related. I always appreciate his calm demeanor and response to my questions re web design. I know how hard he and his team work to keep the website fresh and current. It shows! Thank you Craig and the web services team.

Huge kudos go to Don for his clear communication about road work this summer. As a campus employee, I have found Don’s emails to be incredibly helpful. His maps are resources I refer to often. Thanks to his efforts, campus understands the road work project, and there is no confusion on how to access roads and lots daily. Thank you, Don!

To: Kelly McNear
From: Ann Amicucci

Kelly is like the research guru at the top of the mountain, ready to answer any and every question you have about grant proposals! Kelly facilitated a phenomenal Grant Writing Boot Camp this summer, and I am grateful to her for everything I learned in this 6-week session. Not only did she teach our group a great deal, she met with me individually to help with a grant proposal and answered countless questions in the process. My research agenda has been strengthened and deepened thanks to Kelly’s guidance and expertise.

The series was not only well-organized, but featured a diverse range of experts who provided invaluable insights and guidance. Kelly’s effort to help us learn to write competitive grants and navigate the various relevant systems was truly helpful. Thank you, Kelly, for your hard work and constant availability to support. You are appreciated!!!

I would like to recognize Sarah Jane Baker for her efforts to keep things running smoothly and serving as a positive representative of the College of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS). She has gone above and beyond to help during a time of staff shortages and transition in the college. Specifically, she did an excellent job planning for the new dean’s arrival and helping other new staff get oriented into their roles.

She actively strives to make everyone feel welcome and creates a warm atmosphere with her positive disposition. She is an excellent representative for EAS and UCCS.

To: Shari Huscher, Jugal Kalita, and Mary Hurless
From: Brittani Wagner

These three individuals helped and supported me so much through an unexpected family tragedy. They offered kindness and understanding during a time when I was certain I’d lose my job. They worked together to make sure I was paid during my leave even after only working for a few days with them. I am eternally grateful for the privilege of working alongside them!
