Desire Embraced: A UCCS Sexual Exploration Space
Monday, March 18 from 4 – 8 p.m. | Berger Hall
- This space is a sex-positive environment that disrupts preconceived notions around pleasure and intimacy that are considered “taboo” but are normal parts of sexual exploration and sexual health. There will be a workshop that explores the work of Jaime M. Grant and the finding of true desire, facilitated by Taylor Vallance and Desire Story Teller, Ashley Cornelius, followed by a presentation by Voodoo Leatherworks, Colorado Springs local alternative lifestyle community center, on their space and the BDSM lifestyle in an education format. After this will be a Pleasures Across Spectrums panel, with a diverse panel exploring sex within the social communities that will be moderated by certified sex therapist and sexologist, Amanda Jepson.

Trans Day of Visibility 2024 – “In the Turn” Film Screening

- Celebrate Trans Day of Visibility with this documentary that follows Crystal, a 10-year-old transgender girl, as she discovers the Vagine Regime, an international queer collective of roller derby players comprised of people of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and identities. We will have a post-film discussion with light refreshments. In remembrance of the death of Nex Benedict (he/they), a 16-year-old non-binary and indigenous Choctaw, we will have some card-making materials.
