Family Development Center receives Indy Gold

In a testament to its quality and care standards, the Family Development Center (FDC) was awarded the 2023 Gold for best Child Day Care in Colorado Springs by news source Colorado Springs Indy.

“We are ecstatic to be recognized and appreciated by those who nominated us and voted for us,” said Season Doebler, FDC Director. “The FDC provides a safe, nurturing, high-quality childcare program that is easily accessible, and close in proximity, to our UCCS community. By offering this level of quality care our UCCS students, staff and faculty can feel comfortable leaving their children with us while they attend class, are able to work on campus, participate in clubs and sports and have study time, all the while knowing their children are safe and happy just a few minutes away.”

The FDC offers year-round care and education to children of UCCS community members through programs and curriculum based on their age and development level. The Center and staff provide an impressive variety of educational, play and development activities including reading, music, art, gardening, outdoor play and more. Kids at the FDC get both individual and group learning opportunities under the care of a dedicated and professional team of staff and student employees, to whom Doebler attributes the center’s quality reputation.

“We have the most dedicated and loving staff, as well as the best ratios you can find in our field,” she emphasized. “We provide a positive, caring, safe environment with consistent staffing, which is hard to find in our field. I’m proud of the fact that every single day an FDC family shares how fabulous our teachers are, and the feedback we get about being the best childcare families have ever experienced.”

The award is one of many voted on annually in the Indy’s “Best Of” awards, decided on by local community members for several different categories such as Food & Drink, Nightlife, Arts, Shopping & Services and more.
