Zach Henline, Lead Development Coordinator, was recently acknowledged with the CU Foundation’s McCord Excellence in Fundraising Award.
In his role, Zach assists members of the development office with scheduling and projects, and also supports other philanthropic initiatives. He received the award during the CU Advancement and CU Foundation holiday party on Dec. 12.
“I am quite honored to receive the McCord Award for this past year,” Zach said. “Our team has put in an incredible amount of work surrounding our technology transition, and I am grateful for their help and their support throughout this process.”
Named in honor of the late Charles McCord who led the CU Foundation from 1981 to 2000, the award recognizes employees who exemplify creativity, entrepreneurship, integrity, collegiality, loyalty and vision. An advancement professional from each campus and the central advancement office received recognition.
According to Zach’s nomination, “As lead development coordinator, Zach Henline has consistently helped the UCCS team adapt and evolve during a time of transition. Throughout the past year, he worked tirelessly to ensure the team was ready for the CU Ascend data platform launch. He was able to make the work fun and instill a sense of confidence in his team members, and his patience and grace made what many were concerned about with the database transition much less daunting.”
