In December 2023, the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) released a summary of enrollment changes in Colorado public institutions of higher education. Upon analyzing the data, an error was identified.
The report indicated a three percent enrollment decrease for the university. In actuality, that number is just over a one percent decrease. Our UCCS Institutional Research team promptly investigated the issue and discovered that the error occurred during the transition of reporting these figures. The team took quick action to rectify the mistake and have since provided the corrected enrollment numbers to the CDHE.
“I so appreciate the quick work of our Institutional Research team in swiftly addressing the discrepancy in the reported enrollment figures,” said UCCS Chancellor Jennifer Sobanet. “Errors can occur when transferring data, but I hope that this correction puts to rest any concerns our campus may have had.”
