Students now have access to free, 24/7 mental health support

The TELUS Health Student Support app is a free, confidential mental health and wellbeing support service that gives students 24/7 access to mental health help via telephone or chat. Students can also make counseling appointments for short-term support via telephone or video. The app offers language and lived-experience counselor-matching upon request. Additionally, it has a host of self-directed resources including articles, videos, assessments, virtual fitness and much more.

“We are really excited to be able to provide this service for students,” said Chrissie Bailey, Assistant Director of Wellness Promotion. “TELUS Health expands the services and resources available to meet the mental health needs of UCCS students – they now have access to mental health care 24/7 for free. They can call or chat any time and immediately speak with a mental health professional.”

TELUS is accessible worldwide, so students can get mental health care when they go home for breaks, travel abroad, or if they take classes online and live outside of Colorado.

The Wellness Center continues to provide in-person or telehealth therapy for students in Colorado, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and all actively enrolled students get three free therapy sessions each semester.
